In the Flow – No. 3

£92.00

Acrylic paint on acid-free paper. A dynamic abstract painting dominated by a dark, river-like band cutting diagonally through layers of teal, mint and soft white, with flashes of ochre and crimson. In the Flow – No. 3 holds the tension between stillness and surge.

Availability: 1 in stock

In In the Flow – No. 3, a strong dark form slices across the paper like a fault line or river channel. Around it, cooler layers of sea-green, turquoise and pale blue swirl and eddy, scratched into and painted over in repeated passes.

Thin threads of warm ochre and red ride along the darker passages, suggesting heat, pulse or hidden currents below the surface. The contrast between solid, weighty shapes and airy, brushed fields creates a sense of both grounding and motion – being in movement while something deep inside stays steady.

About the frames

Each painting is presented in a simple, low-cost A3 frame designed to protect the artwork during storage and delivery. The front panel is clear plastic rather than glass—lightweight, safe, and easier to ship securely. These frames are a standard size, making them easy to replace if you wish. The piece arrives ready to hang and enjoy straight away, though for long-term display, you may prefer to reframe it to suit your own taste and environment.

No. 3 + No. 1 – “River & Faultline” pair
Pairs beautifully with In the Flow – No. 1 for a cool, river-like diptych. Both have strong horizontal/diagonal dark forms with cool blues and greens. No. 1 is softer and more horizon-like; No. 3 is more dramatic. Great as a side-by-side diptych.
