In the Flow – No. 1

£89.00

Acrylic paint on acid-free paper. A cool, sweeping abstract with pale, misty greys drifting over deep greens and inky black, grounded by a warm rust band along the bottom edge. In the Flow – No. 1 feels like weather rolling over distant hills or a tide quietly shifting in and out.

Availability: 1 in stock

In the Flow – No. 1 catches that in-between moment when everything seems to pause – the sky heavy with light, the land humming underneath. Broad, soft bands of pale grey and red/violet float over darker slopes of green and near-black, while a warm strip of terracotta and ochre holds the horizon.

You can read it as landscape or simply as movement and colour: scraped marks, subtle lines and buried layers hint at changing weather, rising water, shifting ground. It has a calm presence, with just enough energy to keep your eye travelling.

About the frames

Each painting is presented in a simple, low-cost A3 frame designed to protect the artwork during storage and delivery. The front panel is clear plastic rather than glass—lightweight, safe, and easier to ship securely. These frames are a standard size, making them easy to replace if you wish. The piece arrives ready to hang and enjoy straight away, though for long-term display, you may prefer to reframe it to suit your own taste and environment.

No. 1 + No. 3 – “River & Faultline” pair
Pairs beautifully with In the Flow – No. 3 for a cool, river-like diptych. Both have strong horizontal/diagonal dark forms with cool blues and greens. No. 1 is softer and more horizon-like; No. 3 is more dramatic. Great as a side-by-side diptych.
